The Fienix Project is pleased to announce the release of Fienix 6.0.2. It offers a smooth upgrade from Fienix 6.0.1 using Synaptic or by entering command "apt-get dist-upgrade". Most major applications have been updated to the most-current version, there are some system level updates, and some new applications are available.
Notable updates include:
- Browser updates: SeaLion updated to 32.2.2, Epiphany (Web) updated to 43.1 and WebKit 4.1 updated to version 2.40.3
- Mesa updated to 23.1.2, offering significant performance improvements
- PyGame updated to 2.6.
- MPlayer updated to 1.5 and MPV is now available
- Fienix Curated App Suite updated to include FoxTrotGPS over Maps
- Other Fienix packages updated to incorporate small bug fixes
- Five new wallpapers
New applications include:
- Blurble, a word game
- Buoh, a comic download client and reader
- Celluloid, a media player frontend for MPV
- Flowblade, a polished and performant video editor
- Freegemas, a gem-matching game
